Description:

Vacuum Hardening Plant - ALD Vacuum Technologies VZKQ-VC 60/60/45

Usable space dimensions and weights:

  • Batch dimensions (W x H x L): 600 mm x 600 mm  x 450 mm
  • Working height above corridor (charging height): 1450 mm
  • Batch weight gross half batch (depending on load and components): max. 300 kg
  • In the treatment chamber (heat chamber) 2 halfbatches can be treated simultaneously. A  half batch is quenched in the quenching chamber.
  • Treatment chamber load: 600 kg
  • Chamber volume treatment chamber approx.: approx. 2 m³
  • Chamber volume quenching chamber approx.: approx. 5 m³

Charging trolleys:

  • Fork length and width are adaptedto the charging table of the furnace.  The lifting height is adapted to the charging height of the furnace.
  • Load capacity: 300 kg
  • Paintwork: RAL 7035 light grey, structure

Motor power:

  • Circulator for gas quenching. 20 bar P_abs :132 kW
  • He and max. 10 bar N, - Adjustment of the gas velocity to adjust the N2 pressure
  • Remaining consumers: approx. 16 kW

Furnace heating (treatment chamber) electric:

  • Total rated power approx.: 180 kW
  • Number of heating circuits: 1
  • If necessary, the heating capacity can be throttled via the software and the thyristor controllers.

Space requirements and weight:

  • Complete system according to layout drawing: Available in assembly documentation

Lacquering:

  • Oven body (outside): RAL 7035 (light grey, structure, semi-gloss)
  • Oven body (inside): vacuum color, reddish brown
  • Switchgear and terminal boxes outside and inside: RAL 7032 (pebble grey, structure)
  • Mounting walls in the switchgear: galvanized

Lettering:

  • Switchgear, control plates: German

Noise pressure level:

  • Assessment level for fine vacuum pump level measured according to DIN 45635: approx. 76 dB(A)
  • When using sound insulation for fine vacuum pump set: approx. 70 dB(A)
  • During gas flooding, the noise pressure level is temporarily higher.
  • The noise protection level of a vacuum system is largely caused by the mechanical vacuum pumps. In order to reduce this noise pressure level, appropriate sound insulation is installed. The sound insulation can be dismantled for maintenance work on the vacuum pumps. The soundproofing hood is painted in the oven colour.

Process and procedure data:

Vacuum operation:

  • Final vacuum in cold, empty, heated and clean treatment chamber or quenching chamber: < 5 x 10³ mbar
  • Nominal suction speed fine vacuumpump set: Stage 1: approx. 280 mm- Stage 2: approx. 1000 m
  • Including oil injection for vacuum pumping set with enlarged oil tank.

Temperatures (treatment chamber):

  • Nominal temperature convective: 950 °C
  • Nominal temperature vacuum: 1250 °C
  • Working temperature vacuum coaling < 1000 °C
  • Temperature uniformity in the empty, evacuated usable space after compensation, above 800 °C: ±  5 K

Pressure:

Treatment chamber:

  • Shielding gas convection operation with N2 :  1.5-2 bar P_abs
  • Partial pressure with N2 addition: approx. 1-5 mbar

Quenching chamber:

  • Maximum pressure at gas quenching: 20 bar P_abs
